Description: The goal of this class is to get you up and running on Visual Studio and touch on many of the aspects of writting C# programs.
Class will be held on 10/26/2013 12:00 until 10/26/2013 15:00 at 2545 Solomons Island Rd apt B, Huntingtown MD 20639
Agenda: We will start off with a basic Hello World as a console app, WinForm app, and as a web service. You should bring Visual Studio 2012 Express, SQL Express, and enable IIS. We will continue the class with the WinForm app to dig into many other tasks, such as file and serial I/O, events, SQL, LINQ, XML, and working with graphics. We will also spend some time reviewing ways to distribute applications, including Click/Once. All of this will be using .NET 4.0, but we will also have a segment on the Netduino which will show an interesting contrast on how C# is used. After the formal class, if you are up for more we can go off the carefully tested samples and talk about what ever you want. I’ll be working from my development system that has a million lines of code (not all C#).
About the Teacher: Brian is a veteran coder that can code in many different languages.
